Verbal Conversation Assessment & Coaching Options

Improving our own skills makes conversations more inclusive, satisfying, and impactful—boosting verbal appeal.

I assess and train individuals who believe their verbal conversation skills are hurting their life.

  • What do you need?
  • What's stopping you from ...?

I'm here to help. You and I work as a team.

You may participate 1:1 with me, or you may invite others to participate or listen in. Choose service 1, 2, or 3.

Or, propose how you would like me to help you.

1. Verbal Conversation Assessment via Phone

You schedule an appointment for me to present scenarios, ask questions, listen to what you say and how you say it. During this assessment you are welcome to present scenarios for us to work on together. This is not a test.

2. Recorded Verbal Conversation Assessment

Share a recorded conversation with me for analysis. No appointment is scheduled/required, nor do you participate.

3. Recorded Verbal Conversation Assessment with Your Input

You schedule an appointment with me to listen to your recorded verbal discussion. When either of us would like to discuss what we have just heard, you press pause.

Advantages to inviting another person to participate on our call

* Perspective

* Resolution

* Value Creation

* Trust

Do both of you want to improve your verbal conversation skills together?

What would you like to resolve?

How can you create more value for yourselves?

Help Me Choose

Example #1

A friend once told me about a colleague who felt hurt and frustrated because her teenage son did not want to talk to her. I asked, “Is this the woman who rarely pauses, never asks questions, and does not show much interest in you?” She said yes.

Sadly, the mother does not realize her way of speaking is pushing her son away.

This example is one of hundreds of verbal communication insights that I listen for in a recorded conversation.

I am not going to detect these types of challenges during a verbal assessment via phone (1.).

Example #2

Several years ago, I was providing professional sales training at a company in Mississauga. The proud owner enjoyed dropping in to hear what was being taught to her reps. A vibrant Englishwoman, she suddenly yelled "STOP!” and proceeded to give us all a lesson about using "may" and not "can".

I have used it ever since, and based on responses, I always will. ✅

The verbal assessment via phone (Service 1.) is outstanding for quickly and efficiently discovering numerous opportunities for improvement in verbal conversation.

Follow-Up: Summary Email

Within 48 hours I will email my summary of your service. My feedback will not be vague. I will be clear and specific, sometimes using your own recorded words as evidence to demonstrate my point. My insights, suggestions, and recommendations are prioritized and personalized.

Share Your Progress: My Feedback is Free

Many communication professionals believe that 90% of our problems are actually communication problems.

I am here to support you in overcoming those challenges. I encourage you to text and email me your experiences using your personal recommendations.

There is No Uncertainty Here

If you are not satisfied with my service, there is no invoice. And if I am not satisfied with the service provided; I will not invoice either.

I am not a therapist, I am not a psychologist. If anything I say somehow conflicts in some way with one of these specialists, believe them over me. I teach you what I know will improve your

verbal conversations and your ability to create value for yourself and others.

What does it mean to be self-conscious?

Self-consciousness refers to a tendency to be preoccupied with your own appearance or actions, particularly about how you think others might perceive you. This heightened awareness of the self can contribute to distress, discomfort, and anxiety. Being self-conscious can make your anxiety symptoms worse.

James: I understand verbal self-consciousness and will work with you, step by step, to build your confidence in communication.
